Rubroshorea pauciflora (called, along with some other species in the genera Rubroshorea and Shorea, dark red meranti or red lauan) is a species of plant in the family Dipterocarpaceae. It is native to Sumatra, Borneo and Peninsular Malaysia. It is threatened by habitat loss.[1] The specific epithet pauciflora is Latin for 'few-flowered'.[3][4]
