Shazamat is an Israeli hip hop, rock and alternative punk band.[3][4]

The band began to form and consolidate in 2017 (all original band members are from the northern region).[5] In 2018, the band performed at the Indingab Festival (they performed at the festival again in 2022).[6] In 2019, the band first album, "Dismantled Car", was released on the independent label Mollo Records.[7] In 2020, under the influence of the Corona pandemic, the band released an EP album called "Let's Relax".[8]

In October 2021, the band released a concept album called "We Woke Up Late". The album was chosen as one of Galgalatz Alternative Albums of the Year.[9] One of the songs from the album, "National League", was included in the station's playlist tonight. In 2022, the single "Yoshev Ali Bol" entered the Galgalatz playlist.[10][11][12]

The band plays hip-hop with influences from rock, punk, and other styles, combined with social messages.[13] The band members frequently perform alongside other well-known hip-hop artists, including Teddy Ngosa (guest on the song Liga Leumit), Jimbo Jay (narrator on the album "We Woke Up Late"), Avraham Legsa (on the song "Aquarium"), Shrek and Tsukush (on their song, "Lechait Mehakopsa"), and more.[14][15]

The band released three singles from their third album, released on July 19, 2023, called "Shichat Litofim", the album features 15 songs.[16]
