Simply Yours is the debut studio album by Filipino alternative pop artist Skyē[1] (Bernardo E. Badilla Jr.[2]), released independently on May 18, 2025,[3] through DistroKid and Bandcamp. The album features a stripped-down, emotionally vulnerable style and was entirely produced using mobile apps such as FL Studio Mobile, Moises,[4] and Voloco and uploaded to his YouTube[2] channel. With the album's lead single My Simple Girl and the second line-up Where My Spirit Was Dead[5] which is also featured on Slaps,[6] the album get the attention of some listener.[7]

Skyē, a solo artist[8] from Manila, composed and produced the album entirely on a mobile phone using self-taught tools. He announced the album’s release via his website and social media platforms.[9][citation needed]

Composition

The album blends elements of alternative pop, ambient, and lo-fi. Lyrically, it reflects themes of vulnerability, identity, and longing, with minimalist arrangements and layered harmonies.[citation needed]

Release and promotion

Simply Yours[10] was digitally released on Spotify,[11][12] Bandcamp, YouTube,[13][14] Deezer,[15] Pandora,[16] Amazon Music,[17] TIDAL,[18] and other announcement[19] in major streaming services like Apple Music.[20] Skyē promoted[21] the album using grassroots campaigns, including personal blog posts and social media posts on Instagram [14] and X. Also featured in Top-10 Mosaic Emotions and Genres by NewFire Magazine.[22]
