Sora Tanaka (born 1 June 2001) is an Japanese professional boxer who currently competes in the welterweight division.

Amateur career

As an amateur Tanaka claimed a World University Championship medal and an All Japan title. He finished up with a record of 58 wins and 8 losses.[1]

Professional career

Lugo made his pro debut against Dong Young Kim of South Africa at the Korakuen Hall. Tanaka stopped Kim in the first round with a left hook.[2] In Tanakas third pro fight he faced Ador Torres of the Philippines. Tanaka stopped Torres in the fourth round.[3] Tanaka is scheduled to fight for his first belt as a pro as he faces Takeru Kobata for the vacant Oriental and Pacific Boxing Federation Welterweight title on June 19, 2025.[4]
