Metasebia Yoseph is an Ethiopian-American media entrepreneur and cultural strategist based in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. She is the co-founder of D!NK TV, a multimedia platform, and the founder of Design Week Addis Ababa.
Early Life

Yoseph was born in Washington, D.C. She received a Bachelor of Arts in Art History from the University of Maryland in 2009 and a Master of Arts in Communication, Culture, and Technology from Georgetown University in 2013.
Career
[edit]Yoseph co-founded D!NK TV, a digital media platform targeting youth audiences in Ethiopia and the African diaspora.[1][dead link] The platform produced "Latey: Looking for Love," Ethiopia's first reality dating show, which Yoseph served as executive producer. The show gained significant attention, with its premiere episode receiving over 600,000 views in two months.[2] The show's finale was viewed more than 620,000 times and sparked national debates about dating norms in Ethiopia.[3] She previously worked in Ethiopia's fintech sector as Chief Marketing Officer and Senior Business Innovation Manager at Kifiya Financial Technology, where she was involved in developing digital financial services including MELA, an international remittance service.[citation needed]
In 2015, Yoseph founded Design Week Addis Ababa, an annual festival focused on design and creative industries in Ethiopia.[4] The event has featured international collaboration and cultural exchange programming.
As a consultant, Yoseph has worked on cultural strategy and digital transformation projects, including a cultural heritage digitization initiative with Google Arts & Culture + Oromia Tourism Commission.[citation needed]

[edit]Yoseph is the author of A Culture of Coffee (2013), a book exploring the history and influence of coffee culture.[5] She has contributed to media platforms such as TSA Art Magazine;[6][failed verification] NATAAL Media;[7][8] The Guardian;[9] and Selamta Magazine.[10]

[edit]Yoseph has received recognition for her contributions to digital media, cultural innovation, and entrepreneurship, including:
- Interledger Foundation’s Grant for the Web – For innovation in digital finance and Web3 applications.[11]
