I don't see that this is a notable topic. No mention in ZMATH for example: it seems to be a neologism for an elementary exercise, possibly set as homework? Not connected with Arithmetic–geometric mean by the way. Deltahedron (talk) 07:27, 19 November 2012 (UTC)

In the derivation section ,this line bothers me: "Subtracting rSn from Sn, dividing both sides by ,and using the technique of telescoping series (second equality) and the formula for the sum of a finite geometric series (fifth equality) gives..."
My question is- what are these mentions of second and fifth equality in the following?

The derivation generalizes to computing the sum of P(k) r^k, where P is a polynomial. It would be helpful to have a link to this generalization. 60.250.123.228 (talk) 13:58, 16 June 2025 (UTC)
