I rewrote the whole article remembering things from my 3 year long stay at Butwal. The previous author had done a cut and paste job from some website, and I don't think it would have stood any independent scrutiny from wiki board. I need fellow wikians to provide more detail and picture. A section about geography and climate could be added. Some details about the Industrial Exhibition being held in the month of Pousha (पौष ) can be added to give more detail and extend the scope of the article. Places of interest

I removed the entirety of the places of interest section here since it was either unsourced, or used non-reliable sources (sourcenepal, shankarnagarbanbihar), or used a source that did not place the point of interest in Butwal (unesco). Nirmaljoshi reverted this change here stating "before removing significant part of article you must start discussion on Talk page. dont decide on your whim." which is simply untrue as it was a well reasoned removal and WP:BOLD explicitly allows for these kinds of edits. But per the bold, revert, discuss cycle, lets discuss.

Information on Wikipedia needs to be WP:verifiable which requires WP:reliable sources, of which the removed content did not have, and according to WP:burden: "the burden to demonstrate verifiability lies with the editor who adds or restores material" (emphasis mine). @Nirmaljoshi would you like to discuss why you've restored unverifiable content against WP:BURDEN? fifteen thousand two hundred twenty four (talk) 13:49, 29 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]

@Fifteen thousand two hundred twenty four: For start, most of the headings themselves have independent articles linked. You could have easily copied the references from those articles, and behaved constructively. Don't try to escape by throwing Wikipedia:Burden card while forgetting the Wikipedia:Five pillars and being Wikipedia:RECKLESS. nirmal (talk) 09:17, 30 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]

The burden is not on me to add those sources, but it was my burden to review sources already present, which I did. non-reliable[1], non-relevant[2], non-reliable/relevant[3], relevant to Lumbini but does not place it in Butwal[4] nor "40 km south-west of Butwal". I carefully reviewed the sources and deemed that none of them supported the text. After determining that none of the text was supported, and that the entire section was unsupported and read more like bullet points from a travel brochure, I removed it.

The onus is and was on you when you added[5] and restored[6] unverifed content to the section.

I would also invite you to elaborate on the message in your edit summary that I've quoted above. It is not informed by policy and goes against editing norms, and given your long history with this page reads as WP:OWN. fifteen thousand two hundred twenty four (talk) 09:35, 30 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]
