Outdated lede
[edit]The current lede, "A dictionary is a listing of lexemes from the lexicon of one or more specific languages..." is quite anachronistic. Dictionaries nowadays aren't limited to a listing of lexemes. Countless phrases, clauses, and even sentences are among the terms listed and defined in ordinary dictionary. [edit]Dīwān Lughāt al-Turk - is the first comprehensive dictionary of Turkic languages, compiled between 1072–74 by the Kara-Khanid scholar Mahmud al-Kashgari, who extensively documented the Turkic languages of his time. Not done: it's not clear what changes you want to be made. Please mention the specific changes in a "change X to Y" format and provide a reliable source if appropriate. Annh07 (talk) 09:16, 15 May 2025 (UTC)
