Merge proposal

In English, this period of 15 years is called an indiction, never an indict. The latter is only a transliteration of the Russian language term. English Wikipedia articles must be named according to the English term if that term exists. Unfortunately, indict is a common English word (pronounced ɪndaɪt, the c is silent) that means "to accuse someone of a crime" so cannot be redirected to indiction, but must be redirected to indictment. In the rare circumstance that a native Russian speaker enters indict for indiction, I am adding a dab at the beginning of indictment. — Joe Kress 02:18, 4 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
