Speed Limit Change of 2006

The article states the speed limit being changed from 55 to 70 mph on 2006 Nov 06. The cited article is worded oddly making it seem like that is what it said but it is referring to the original speed when the freeway was completed in 1989. The limit was changed in the mid 90s to 65 mph after the repeal of the national 55 mph limit. The actual change in 2006 was from 65 to 70. I cannot find a direct source for this, though I’m sure historic street view photos would show it. I only know because I drove that route for years. Zephalis (talk) 00:38, 23 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]
