How to add a new Wikidata item?
[edit]We've just released a Long-Term Support version of our Kea software and I've added the information to the Wikidata that's associated with this Wikipedia page, and I thought I added the correct links to the Infobox section to make the new Wikidata display, but clearly I haven't.
I added this: | latest stable version = | latest release date =
Can someone help me figure out how to get it to display? Thank you. Sgoldlust (talk) 16:14, 25 June 2025 (UTC)
- I reverted the edit. There are no parameters in Template:Infobox software for "long-term support version"; only "latest release version" & "latest preview version"
- I would suggest adding a note about it to the text of the article. Davemck (talk) 18:00, 25 June 2025 (UTC)
- Ah, too bad. Thanks for your help. Sgoldlust (talk) 20:29, 25 June 2025 (UTC)
- On further review ... Firefox has multiple releases, using the "| ver layout = stacked" parm. The releases are contained in a subpage of Template:Latest stable release. For Firefox, it's Template:Latest stable software release/Firefox.
- Here's the list of software that uses this method.
- Looks pretty complicated, but I guess that's the official way to do it. Davemck (talk) 20:59, 25 June 2025 (UTC)
