it's true that Metal Forces coined the term. it can be found at the 1st issue of Metal Forces (autumn 1983), page 23, from Billy Beaman on a review of the compilation ‘’La’s hottest unsigned rock bands’’ while mentioning the compilations Metal Massacre και US Metal. Of course the article about thrash metal in Wikipedia, keeps insisting on the urban legend of Malcolm Dome coining the term, which proves that in Wikipedia anyone can write anything... 62.103.243.86 (talk) 14:23, 10 March 2025 (UTC)
