Conflict of Interest Problems
[edit]This article has obvious conflict of interest problems, having been edited primarily by anonymous users making edits that seem to break WP:NPOV policies. These edits tend to cite Netcracker’s public website quite a lot. If you’re interested in Wikipedia’s definition of COI, please take a read at What is Conflict of Interest?.
As stated on WP:COI, “COI editing is strongly discouraged on Wikipedia. It undermines public confidence and risks causing public embarrassment to the individuals and companies being promoted.” — TadgStirkland401 (TadgTalk) 04:15, 7 July 2024 (UTC)
- After spending the weekend editing, I believe I have resolved most of the problems noted above, updated and verified the citations throughout, added a couple new sections, and heavily redacted several WP:NPOV wording problems. Hopefully, I’ve improved the page. — TadgStirkland401 (TadgTalk) 04:15, 7 July 2024 (UTC)
NEC citation removed
[edit]@B8dreamlife, why did you remove the citation to this notice? It was a valid press release by the company initiating the acquisition. You will find that this source is completely acceptable to cite based on the self-source policy — TadgStirkland401 (TadgTalk) 18:16, 30 August 2024 (UTC)
Buzzword
[edit]@Mean as custard, do you have a recommended word to replace solution(s)? — TadgStirkland401 (TadgTalk) 17:51, 23 September 2024 (UTC)
- Software. . .products. . .services. . .devices. . .hardware - it all depends on the context. "Solutions" is meaningless . . Mean as custard (talk) 17:54, 23 September 2024 (UTC)
- So instead of
IT solutions
we might saysoftware and technical support
? Seems wordy, but probably less buzzy sounding. — TadgStirkland401 (TadgTalk) 20:03, 23 September 2024 (UTC) - @Mean as custard, I took a stab at rewording and removed most buzzwords. Interested in your thoughts. — TadgStirkland401 (TadgTalk) 05:40, 25 September 2024 (UTC)
- Simple changes, but they make a big improvement. Only two stray 'solutions' remaining. . .Mean as custard (talk) 11:06, 26 September 2024 (UTC)
Done... How do you feel about putting the awards back into the article. I found it also listed on other companies (randomly), like Amdocs for instance. — TadgStirkland401 (TadgTalk) 20:31, 26 September 2024 (UTC)
