"Modern operating system?"
[edit]"There were earlier 1100 systems going back to the 1101 in 1951, but the 1108 marked the introduction of the first 1100 Series computer designed for a modern operating system." This sentence could use more detail by way of explanation. Peter Flass (talk) 11:33, 21 November 2013 (UTC)
Should the "UNIVAC EXEC 8" page just point to the Exec 8 section of this page?
[edit]This page's "Exec 8" section gives more details of EXEC 8 than does the UNIVAC EXEC 8 page. Should whatever in that page is of interest be moved to the "Exec 8" section of this page, with the UNIVAC EXEC 8 page then just redirecting to that section? - I agree, so I've merged the text, but not the "See also" references or the summary box. Sorry, I don't know how to redirect from the UNIVAC EXEC 8 page, so I'll leave that to others.
