The Naming of the Shrew
[edit]So how is it that a tiny, slate-gray, blazingly fast, and sharp-toothed (ask my wife) animal such as this comes to be named "Ornate". Surely this is the most common question people have when they learn the name of our local (SoCal) shrew and I think it should be addressed here. Yes, I'll do it if I can figure it out, but surely someone more knowledgeable than I am already knows the answer... FatBear1 (talk) 04:37, 25 April 2025 (UTC)
