Many have suggested that the Affordable Care Act became necessary as a result of deregulation from the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act of 1999, which removed Glass-Steagall protections as a regulatory tool for insurance carriers.

Landmark

This claim is unsourced and I fail to understand how a piece of legislation can be a landmark. We have an article on landmark ruling but not landmark statute or landmark legislation. I suggest this claim be removed unless it can be well-sourced. 206.83.99.60 (talk) 04:39, 31 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
