Introduction appropriate?
[edit]Is the introduction on this page really appropriate? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Paul Hjul (talk • contribs) 18:08, 5 July 2006 (UTC)
- No, it's not. Quite a lot of what is in the intro should be in "History" or "Criticism" sections. The intro should be more a summary of the services operated by the SABC now (i.e. 3 TV stations, X radio stations, etc.). - htonl 10:13, 6 July 2006 (UTC)
Im then going to flag it for cleanup and NPOVPaul Hjul 13:57, 6 July 2006 (UTC)
Introduction not objective
[edit]The following statement is clearly subjective and has no citation or any immediately obvious reason why it is true:
- "...privately owned broadcasters such as eTV are reputedly more objective and less selective in their news coverage."
I think all these sort of statements in the introduction should be removed. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 196.14.41.66 (talk) 17:06, 20 July 2006 (UTC)

John Perlman
[edit]See new page on John Perlman describing the "blacklisting" policy and news of Perlman's resignation from the SABC. Zaian 19:23, 30 January 2007 (UTC)
Jani Allan
[edit]I have removed the section on Jani Allen's 1994 interview. It is hardly relevant to the entry and has been included by a user who appears obsessed with popularising Jani. —Preceding unsigned comment added by EmjayE2 (talk • contribs) 16:54, 18 September 2008 (UTC)
Updates?
[edit]This page needs to be updated. There is vital information missing - the SABC screwups, particularly. I'd do it but: I don't even know where to start; I'm biased; and I'm not sure I have my facts straight. I'll go ahead and mark the article as lacking in contemporary information and hope somebody picks this up. Rechtstaat (talk) 23:22, 11 February 2010 (UTC)
