Talk:Tatu
Is this a joke? Clearly, at a minimum, there should be a disambig page that offers the choice of the Russian group (which is massively well known) or this "erotic Japanese rope artist" who may have a few web pages devoted to him but clearly does not enjoy nearly the fame that the Russian pseudo-lesbians do (or did!). I gather from a quick look at the history that either him (my guess) or a big, big fan has been arguing that the band's official name is t.A.T.u and not tatu. While this may be true, the likelihood of someone looking for them on Wikipedia typing in four periods and getting the capitalization right is exactly nil. That means they'll come, instead, to this page and wonder what the hell is going on. Yes, there's a disambiguation note at the top. But if I create a music group called "USA" it shouldn't get the page of that name with a note at the top pointing people to the "United States of America" article. I have no idea how to move the disambiguation page to this address, but I hope someone who does will do so.--James Honan-Hallock 03:15, 16 May 2006 (UTC)
- I so agree with you, James, and believe it or not, but it's actually I who have been fightinh with this user, who constantly reverts th redirection to this almost unnotable porn artist. I've been writing to admins, but they don't care. It was I who in the beginning created a redirect from 'Tatu' to -> t.A.T.u. Oh, can someone help me?? --Shandris 07:49, 17 May 2006 (UTC)
I think the disambig is preferable. A pop group (no matter how popular, I haven't heard of them before now) should at the very least be on par with a river and a city that predate the duo. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Flying Bishop (talk • contribs) 14:02, 2 September 2009 (UTC)
There is a move discussion in progress on Talk:Tatu (disambiguation) which affects this page. Please participate on that page and not in this talk page section. Thank you. —RMCD bot 20:30, 19 July 2019 (UTC)
