Merge proposal

[edit]

This article is based on sources exclusively from today. I propose we merge this article into The Trump Organization until it shows that it qualifies to be a Wikipedia article. WP:TRUMPCRUFT, and the fact that this article has little to not encyclopedic value. WiinterU 03:18, 17 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Oppose - It is significant still, it doesn't matter if all the sources are from today or not. DCAllStar (talk) 03:24, 17 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Oppose: Secondary coverage from generally reliable sources such as Reuters, CNN, and NBC make this pass GNG. TheGoofWasHere (talk) 03:53, 17 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Oppose: Doesn't matter how old sources are for articles to be able to use them. What matters most is that the linked sources have the required facts, which these do. It seems like there has been a fair amount of quality news coverage so this article could stay up.
I do admit though that it certainly seems logical to make this article a section in The Trump Organization's article, but that has the risk of making that page too large, seeing as this is a subsidiary of Donald Trump's technology business, so it is more appropriate to go onto that company's page. Oppose, as the ownership claim itself is disputable. —mykhal (talk) 07:46, 17 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Just added a note about Trump Organization's ownership over Trump Mobile in the article TheGoofWasHere (talk) 16:46, 17 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Oppose. per DCAllStar and TheGoofWasHere. Cfls (talk) 15:16, 17 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Oppose per comments above freesucrose (talk) 16:42, 17 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]
WP:TRUMPCRUFT assumes the "latest crap Trump got himself into" is a tweet, rumor, or event. A network operator (not even directly owned or made by Trump, mind you) is neither of a tweet, rumor, or event. Also, this article has little to not [sic] encyclopedic value is a real blanket statement since you never clarify how it isn't encyclopedic. TheGoofWasHere (talk) 21:14, 17 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Oppose - TRUMPCRUFT is not a policy, it's an opinion-based essay. It doesn't make sense to bring up as an argument for merging. ArtemisiaGentileschiFan (talk) 23:28, 17 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]
