Updated Language section and Added Historical context

[edit]

Hello everyone,

I've recently updated the "Language" section of the Virajpet article to better reflect the local linguistic landscape based on historical and cultural context. The previous version cited 2011 Census data, which seemed misleading — particularly in overrepresenting a language without explaining that most people in Virajpet are descendants of migrant workers from other place, not indigenous to the region.

The updated section highlights: - Kodava Takk as the native language - Kannada as the state language, widely used - Malayalam as spoken by communities who migrated during the British era for plantation work

I’ve cited credible sources including: - An India Today article about Malayali migration (1986) - A linguistic paper from Academia.edu on Kodava Takk

No original research was added, only sourced and contextualized information. Please feel free to improve or refine this section if you have more current or specific sources.
