CMOS Based Neural Probes for Wetware Computers
[edit]- I heard about this recently in a stream by the YouTube Channel "The Thought Emporium" In the "LIVE Connecting Neurons to a Computer: The New Plan" Stream at 1:24:05
- Various Papers/Studies I Found on the Subject:
- https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S1877705815024662 - CMOS-Based High-Density Neural Probes with Improved Scheme for Addressing Recording and Stimulation Channels
- https://ieeexplore.ieee.org/document/8993529 - Design and fabrication of CMOS-based neural probes for large-scale electrophysiology
- https://ieeexplore.ieee.org/document/8993611 - The Neuropixels probe: A CMOS based integrated microsystems platform for neuroscience and brain-computer interfaces
- The channel is also working on their own wetware computer in their " Headcheese " project (The name is from the novel Starfish (Watts Novel) by Peter Watts (author) )
- Link to the introductory video on this project:
- A Video by the YouTube Channel "The Thought Emporium" Titled "Growing Human Neurons Connected to a Computer" ( ~17 Minute Watch )
- Also it seems that book doesn't have it's own page, i made that link to match the style used by Blindsight (Watts novel) Although i would be fine with Starfish (Science Fiction Novel) or Starfish (Peter Watts Novel) if people are ok with that

Evaluation: Article Lead and Sources
[edit]The lead section of this article is too short and does not provide a proper summary of the topic. It lacks a proper definition and does not summarize the content of the article. Furthermore, some claims are made without the use of in-text citations or references to scholarly literature. I recommend making the headline longer and improving source quality with peer-reviewed studies and new literature. Thanks! MSIS student (talk) 06:50, 5 May 2025 (UTC)
