Tang Chia

Tang Chia (Chinese: 唐佳; 7 January 1937 – 23 June 2025), formerly known as Huang Tang (黃唐) and also known as Huang Longji (黃龍基), was a Hong Kong martial arts instructor, actor and director.[1]
Biography
[edit]Chia was born in Macau to a nautical family.[2] In his early years, he was taught by Yuan Xiaotian, later he with Lau Kar-leung joined Shaw Brothers Studio.[3]
Throughout his career, he directed a number of films, including Shaolin Prince (1982), Shaolin Intruders (1983), and Opium and the Kung-Fu Master (1984).[3]
On 23 June 2025, Tang Jia was found dead at the junction of Austin Road, Jue Shi Road and Pine Shan Road in Tsim Sha Tsui at the age of 88.[4]
Personal life
[edit]Chia was married to artist Xue Ni.[5]
