parameter for amendment?

[edit]

Can someone add a parameter for amendment? (As in, 12th Amendment to the Constitution of [Country X]?) Thank you. Infoman99 (talk) 00:28, 20 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Parameter for url?

[edit]

Could someone add a parameter for a URL so we can hyperlink to electronic copies of the cited constitution/specific part of it being cited?

@ROADKILL: I was going to request the same. Anyone here?  Mr.choppers | ✎  02:25, 25 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

What is the point?

[edit]

I don't understand the point of this template. If somebody is citing the Constitution, they are referring to the text of the constitution. A wikipedia article on the constitution is of no help! -- Kautilya3 (talk) 16:33, 30 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hello! I'm not sure how many people watchlist this page, but I would really appreciate it if anyone could add a parameter to toggle the "|polity" parameter, which as of now automatically wikilinks any value inputted. For context, I'm trying to cite the constitution of "the National FFA Organization", but a wikilink to the "Constitution of the National FFA Organization" not only does not exist and is not helpful, but likely never will. Being able to turn off this auto-linking if one desires would be very useful for this and other non-governmental constitutions. Cheers! Johnson524 06:23, 28 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

If there is something else that fits the bill, you can create a redirect to it. See HELP:Redirect. -- Kautilya3 (talk) 07:18, 28 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
@Kautilya3: Thank you so much for the reply! I'm sorry I don't completely understand though, what exactly are you referring to in HELP:Redirect? Cheers! Johnson524 13:18, 28 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I guess I misunderstood what you wanted. Now, re-reading, I think an auto-wikilink toggle field that you are asking for is a good idea. That would address the point I raised above as well. -- Kautilya3 (talk) 13:43, 28 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
@Kautilya3: Do you have an idea on how to do that, or how to find someone who can do that? Also, I'm sorry that no one responded to your message above, I guess this cite template is pretty obscure, but if it addresses your comment as well then all the better 🙂 Cheers! I think Wikipedia:Village pump (technical) is the place to go. I don't think this talk page is being watched by the technical people. -- Kautilya3 (talk) 14:00, 28 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
