Tom Grossi (born September 16, 1990,) is an American YouTuber and comedian best known for his National Football League (NFL) related content.[3] His self-titled YouTube channel features a mix of sports commentary, sketch comedy, and fan-focused satire, with a particular emphasis on the Green Bay Packers, his favorite team.[4][5] In addition to his YouTube work, he hosts Packast, a podcast centered on covering league-wide NFL news and discussions.[6] In June 2023, Grossi raised over $500,000 for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital by visiting all 30 NFL stadiums in 30 days.[7][8]
In April 2025, he announced the Green Bay Packers' selection of Tulane cornerback Micah Robinson with the 237th overall pick during the 2025 NFL draft which was held in Green Bay, Wisconsin.
YouTube career
[edit]Grossi began creating content on YouTube in 2015 while working full-time as a high school social studies teacher. What initially started as a side project featuring comedy sketches and Packers commentary gradually evolved into more consistent uploads focused on NFL storylines, team parodies, and reaction videos. From 2016 onward, he balanced his teaching responsibilities with a growing online presence, and by 2019, he began livestreaming his reactions to Packers games while also expanding his coverage to include the NFL’s 31 other teams.
After briefly leaving a teaching job in October 2019, Grossi returned to the classroom in early 2020 to maintain financial stability, particularly during the instability caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. In 2020, he surpassed 100,000 YouTube subscribers and later stated that it was the first year he had earned more from content creation than from teaching. Despite this, he continued working both rules full-time until June 2021, when he officially left teaching to pursue YouTube full-time.
Grossi's Youtube channel, self-titled but adjacent to his Packast podcast, has grown into a widely followed platform which is known for its humor, character-driven NFL content, livestreams, and weekly fan reactions. While Packast also exists as a podcast, its content is heavily interlinked and essentially overlaps with the YouTube channel. In addition, Grossi has emphasized his commitment to remaining independent, turning down almost all sponsorship offers in favor of community-supported growth through the YouTube membership system and crowdfunding.
2023 NFL Fan of the Year
[edit]On November 6, 2023, the Green Bay Packers announced their nomination of Tom Grossi for the NFL Fan of the Year award, citing his enthusiastic support of the team and the wider NFL community, as well as his impactful charitable initiatives, particularly his "30 in 30" stadium tour in June 2023, during which he visited all 30 NFL stadiums in order to raise over $500,000 for St. Jude as part of a wider fundraising effort that has since surpassed $725,000 since 2021.[9][10]
Grossi was named the 2023 NFL Fan of the Year at the 13th annual NFL Honors ceremony on February 9, 2024, which was held in Las Vegas, Nevada. The award, presented by Captain Morgan, was conferred by NFL commissioner Roger Goodell, who informed Grossi of the honor and then handed him the trophy. He was recognized for his dedication to the sport, his charitable impact, and his ability to positively engage fans across the league. In his acceptance, Grossi expressed gratitude and reaffirmed his commitment to using his platform to support charitable causes along with connecting to the wider football community.[11][12][13]
2025 NFL draft
[edit]On April 22, 2025, the Green Bay Packers announced that Tom Grossi, would be selecting one of the team's picks during the 2025 NFL draft, which was held in Green Bay, Wisconsin. Grossi shared on social media that the Packers had invited him to announce a pick on Saturday, April 26. He further described the opportunity as a "dream come true," as he referenced his longtime support of the team despite residing in New York.[14][15]
Grossi announced the Packers' selection of Tulane cornerback Micah Robinson with the 237th overall pick during the seventh and final round of the draft. The moment was broadcasted live and received attention of social media, where fans and commentators highlighted Grossi's contributions to the NFL fandom and charitable initiatives, with those in attendance cheering his appearance.[16][17]
Philanthropy and charity work
[edit]Grossi has undertaken a range of charitable activities, often integrating them with his content and community. He has described these efforts as acts of "chaotic good." Over time, these efforts have grown in scale alongside his expanding platform.[18]
Following the publication of Minneapolis Star Tribune article in late 2019, which included an image of Vikings linebacker Anthony Barr injuring Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers as one of Minnesota's top sports moments of the decade,[19] Grossi organized a fundraiser in early 2020 for a Minnesota-based service dog charity (Can Do Canines).[20] Intended as a positive response to what some considered as an unsportsmanlike depiction,[21] the campaign raised $3,000 and resulted in a service dog named "Lambeau" (after Lambeau Field) being placed with a Packers fan in Minnesota.[22]
In June 2023, Tom Grossi embarked on his "30 in 30" stadium tour, visiting all 30 NFL stadiums in 30 days to raise funds for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. The campaign initially aimed to raise $100,000, but it ultimately surpassed expectations by collecting over $500,000. Grossi personally contributed approximately $50,000, which he had reportedly been saving to purchase a home, to further support the cause.[23][18]
Building on the success of his previous tour, Grossi launched his "International Stadium Tour" in May 2024, visiting seven stadiums (Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, Wembley Stadium, Allianz Arena, Deutsche Bank Park, Santiago Bernabéu Stadium, Estadio Azteca, Arena Corinthians) across five countries (United Kingdom, Germany, Spain, Mexico, and Brazil) over the course of ten days. The campaign aimed to raise $100,000 for St. Jude and incorporated several unique donation incentives, such as Grossi completing Tottenham Stadium's Dare Skywalk or participating in a flamenco dance class in Spain. The fundraiser ultimately surpassed its goal and drew support from NFL fans worldwide, aided by widespread attention from fans and media.[24][25]
In February 2025, Grossi started his "1000000 Subscribers or $1 Million for Charity" stream, where he pledged to continuously stream until he either reached one million YouTube subscribers or raised one million dollars for charity. The event ran for a total of 158 hours, from February 16th to February 23rd, ultimately raising over $1 million for the Children of Fallen Patriots Foundation (a non-profit which provides college scholarships to children of fallen military personnel.)[26][27][28]
