Syllables and stress

[edit]

In Dytkosian, syllables typically follow a straightforward structure, either CVCV (consonant-vowel-consonant-vowel) or CVC (consonant-vowel-consonant). Stress generally falls on the first syllable of most words, as in loka (love), where the stress is on "LO," and sava (friend), where the stress is on "SA." Small function words, such as 'is' and 'of,' remain unstressed. Diphthongs, like "ai" as in 'high,' are treated as a single syllable, with stress on the first vowel sound.
