Bubbakoo's Burritos

[edit]

Since the Bubbakoo’s Burritos opened its doors in Point Pleasant, New Jersey back in 2008 it was apparent that this was a great place to relax and have an awesome meal. More than ten years later, Bubbakoo’s has expanded to dozens of locations across 10 different states and has served thousands of its legendary burritos to its very loyal customers.

Despite the challenging economy, their founders Paul Altero and Bill Hart continued to expand Bubbakoo’s Burritos one customer at a time. As opportunities arise, they’ll open new restaurants in neighborhoods where they can build bridges with local residents. Bubbakoo’s Burritos has proudly evolved into a community where people work, eat, and gather as a family.

Together, Paul and Bill have created an ideal balance, not only for their partnership but the entire Bubbakoo’s family of staff and customers.

Bubbakoo’s Burritos was an immediate success due to many factors. The high-quality food is fresh, made-to-order, and affordable for kids, families, and seniors. The restaurant is warm and friendly thanks to a well-trained staff, inviting design, and their dedicated franchise partners who continue to share the Bubbakoo’s way throughout the country.

The roots of Bubbakoo’s are in the skater and shore scene, but all are welcome in what’s quickly become a neighborhood hub of activity. Paul and Bill realize service can be the deciding factor in a restaurant’s growth. They believe outstanding service and attention to detail have contributed to the tremendously positive word-of-mouth about Bubbakoo’s.

[edit]

Based on the Jersey shore, Bubbakoo’s offers burritos, bowls, tacos, quesadillas, nachos and something called a Chiwawa (panko-breaded fried rice balls topped with nacho cheese and other burrito fixings). Proteins go well beyond grilled chicken, carnitas and barbacoa; there’s fried Buffalo chicken, grilled-to-order hibachi steak and shrimp, General Tso’s chicken, sweet chile shrimp and more. There are also starters such as chicken wings in seven different sauces, Buffalo cauliflower, jalapeño poppers and Southwestern spring rolls, and sides such as fries and potato tots. For dessert there are fried Oreos and Love Chips — fried tortilla chips dusted in powdered sugar with a choice of raspberry or caramel sauce.

Philanthropy

[edit]

Bubbakoo’s prides itself on their involvement in the community. In November of 2019, they launched their Read it to Eat it Program where they work with schools and teachers to help incentivize reading for students. The program now has over 500 schools/teachers involved and over 120,000 students. Many Bubbakoo’s locations also host fundraisers to help local organizations raise money. In addition to their reading program, Bubbakoo’s launched their first national fundraiser which donated a percentage of their sales on March 29th to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.

In October of 2022, Bubbakoo's partnered with the American Cancer Society's fight against Breast Cancer. Their goal is to raise $25,000 to help those fighting against breast cancer and help fund American Cancer Society's Research arm.
