Alan Crist is a German visual artist of mixed heritage, known for his work in avant-garde and expressionist styles. Born to a New Zealander father and a Persian mother, he primarily works in acrylic painting and digital media. Crist has developed a technique called the Drawing-Painting method, which combines traditional drawing with painterly techniques.

His artistic practice includes styles such as Surrealism, Expressionism, Geometric Abstraction, Synchromism, Monochrome Art, and Line Art. Crist’s work often explores abstract forms and the interplay of light and shadow, aiming to evoke emotional responses.

In addition to painting, Crist has engaged in graphic design and pattern creation. He has expressed interest in collaborating with commercial companies to make art more accessible, though such projects have not been realized.
