About Me
[edit]Hello! I’m a licensed Professional Engineer (Mechanical - Thermal Fluids), currently working in the biotechnology sector designing pressure vessels and bioreactors. My professional experience includes capital equipment design, pressure systems, and environmental compliance, with prior work in fired heaters and NOx/SOx emissions control.
I’ve also worked as the sole engineer in small companies, where I managed projects from concept through commissioning and field service. I’m particularly interested in clear documentation, safety compliance, and good engineering judgment — whether in hardware or in standards like ASME and ASTM.
Wikipedia Interests
[edit]I edit Wikipedia to improve technical accuracy and readability in articles related to:
- Mechanical and thermal engineering
- Pressure vessels and bioreactors
- Renewable energy and emissions control
- Industrial safety standards (OSHA, ASME, ASTM)
- Skiing and outdoor emergency care
I occasionally do copyediting and cleanup where clarity or sourcing can be improved.
Personal Notes
[edit]Outside of engineering, I’ve been a ski patroller for over 25 years. I also garden, study Mandarin, and enjoy raising my son in New England. You’ll sometimes find me correcting common misunderstandings about engineering topics, both on and off Wikipedia.
