Definition
Electronic mail or email (e-mail) is a method of exchanging digital messages from a person to one or more recipients across
the Internet using ESP (Email Service Provider) like Microsoft hotmail, Yahoo, Google …… or other computer networks from PC to PC in a same network .
history
In 1978, the E-mail was invented by an Indian boy, Va Shiva Ayyadurai, at the age of 14 and copyrighted in 1982.
Anatomy of an E-Mail Message: An email consists of three main parts
1-Button, like send, cut copy and paste ….
2-Header: contains
A-Email address of: a sender and a recipient or for Cc
It is formed of three parts:
1- A name
2- The sign at @.
3- Domain name ( the names of a ESP)
Example: [email protected]
B-subject: The title of the message (letter) 3- Body: to type the text u want to send or attachments like documents, pictures, videos ……….etc
