Option 1
[edit]- Article title
- "Archive of Our Own"
- Article Evaluation
- Content is focused and relevant to the topic
- Under-developed Areas:
- Kudos and Comments
- Denial of Service Attack
- Effects on Literary Publishing Industry (doesn't exist)
- Impacts on Writers and New Authors (doesn't exist)
- Copyright, Fair Use, and Fan-Fiction (doesn't exist)
- Tone is neutral--does a good job of discussing controversial history of topic and describing works without becoming biased.
- Most claims are followed by sources, although they could do with more. The "Content" section pulls majorly from one source, so there could be developments there to make sure the section is more balanced.
- The sources seem to be reliable based on the few that I checked.
- Article does not tackle an equity gap, although it touches on a few socially and politically charged topics relating to women and censorship.
- Talk Page
- Argument regarding if AO3 is blocked in China and if that should be included in the article
- Request to update numbers and statistics
- Last contribution was in 2020 --> in need of updates?

Option 2
[edit]- Article title
- "Wattpad"
- Article Evaluation
- Content is focused on the topic, although some of it seems more relevant than others.
- "In the Philippines" --> oddly specific and not followed by any related sections discussing Wattpad's global impact
- "Publishing" --> plenty of information about their publishing house, but little to no information surrounding the implications that this has on the literary publishing industry
- "Effects on Writers" --> well-written, could do with an added sub-section on how this has allowed new writers to be discovered and played a role in breathing new life into established authors' work
- "Competitors and Similar Sites" --> under-developed
- Tone is neutral, although relatively positive. The content doesn't seem to present any drawbacks that come with Wattpad, which would help to include in order to move towards a more balanced perspective.
- Not all claims have sources (multiple quotes and paragraphs missing citations)
- "Effects on Writers" section only uses 2 sources and doesn't cite them often
- Warning at the top of the page for an abundant use of biased sources (one of which is an advertisement)
- Many references come from the Wattpad website itself or from Wattpad HQ and PR, which will be biased towards maintaining a positive public image in their media
- Article does not tackle equity gap
- Talk Page
- Many warnings about the sources used for this article
- Suggestions for content that would help the page move towards a more neutral point of view
- Recommendations for making the page more organized
