W.B. Law Coffee Co.
[edit]WB Law Coffee Co. is a 5th generation family owned coffee roaster based in Newark, NJ[1]. It was founded in 1909 by Walter B. Law in Dunellen, NJ in the garage of his father George Law[2]. Walter initially grew his wholesale business selling coffee house to house in a horse-drawn carriage. As Law Coffee persevered through The Great Depression, Walter’s sons, Robert, Warren and Stanley, came on board to help their father roast and pack the coffee and tea. When the United States entered World War II, all three brothers enlisted. Warren, the sole brother to return from World War II, took on the responsibilities of running the family business. In 1985, Warren’s son in law, David M. Mendez purchased the company and grew the distribution throughout the MidAtlantic. In 2020, David’s son, David W. Mendez purchased the company. In 2023, WB Law Coffee opened it’s first name branded retail location in Newark Liberty International Airport’s new Terminal A[3].
