I edit lightly and occasionally. My interests are grammatical correctness, punctuation, and I come from a background in copyright and IP.

Therefore I have an interest in 'joining the dots' between creatives and their output where it is referenced on Wikipedia; connecting photographers or artists to notable album covers, for example, or famous books to their cover artists. I worked for a long time in that space, fighting for recognition and credit for artists in the online space where it is common, and easy, for artists to be disconnected from both their intellectual property and their contribution to an important work.

If I spot such a connection and it can be made, I'll suggest the edit, though am sometimes overruled!

I plan to do more editing as time permits, and I welcome input and guidance from experienced editors. Other than making regular donations to Wikipedia I can think of no better way to support its essential work.

My name is not Emily, but it is a part-portmanteau of, and part pun on, the author of Wuthering Heights and the book's central female character. I was also partly chosen to reflect my uncertainty and novice status on first choosing to become a Wikipedia editor.
