Early life and education

Born in Mojokerto, Liwafa attended Taman Siswa High School in Mojokerto between 2005 until 2008. Liwafa decided to move to Surabaya and start his business. During his youth, Liwafa, had a talent for playing music, he used this talent by forming a metal band called Razorblades Terror. At that time he also started organizing music events and ended up being a huge success.

He earned a Bachelor of Engineering degree from Adhi Tama Surabaya Institute of Technology in 2014. Then in 2020 he earned a Master of Management degree from Ciputra University. Tom Liwafa continued to develop his knowledge by taking a Doctorate at Airlangga University in 2022. Then, a year later he returned to take another Master of Law degree at Pelita Harapan University Surabaya.

Business career

Liwafa co-founded the Surabaya-based Insaf (now known as Delvi Digital), a digital marketing company that helps Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) to develop their brands in June 2019. A re-branding was carried out and the name changed to Delva Digital. Delva emerged from the combination of Liwafa's wife, Delta Hesti and himself. Since the company's founding, more than 250 MSME brands had collaborate with Delva Digital. One of the collaboration programs is the holding of the Indonesian UMKM Festival (UFI).

Political career

Liwafa decided to continue his career by entering the world of politics. He officially nominated himself as a legislative candidate for the Indonesian House of Representatives for Electoral District 1 (Surabaya and Sidoarjo).Liwafa decided to join the National Mandate Party and received a warm welcome from the party leader, Zulkifli Hasan.

At the PAN Rakernas on February 27-28, 2023, He recieved attention from President Joko Widodo who directly mentioned his name in a speech. In the 2024 Election, Tom Liwafa was elected as a member of the Indonesian House of Representatives for the 2024-2029 period from the National Mandate Party Faction representing the East Java 1 Electoral District.

Personal life

Tom Liwafa is married to Delta Hesti, an influencer and businesswoman who is also active in various social fields. Together with his wife, Tom Liwafa is known to often hold charity events and social programs to help the underprivileged, especially in East Java. In addition to business and politics, Tom also has a great interest in music. In his youth, he formed a metal band called Razorblades Terror, which was active in the Surabaya music community.
