Emily A. Bernhard Jackson

Emily A. Bernhard Jackson is an Assistant Professor of English Literature at the University of Arkansas. She teaches and researches in the area of 19th-century British Literature, and her area of specialization is the works and thought of the Romantic poet Lord Byron

Bernhard Jackson was born in Boston, Massachusetts, but at the age of three months her family moved to Philadelphia. After spending her childhood and young adulthood in Philadelphia, Bernhard Jackson attended the University of Iowa, receiving a B.A. in English, with a minor in History, in 1991. She then moved to London for three years. After returning, she studied for an M.A. in English at Boston College, graduating in 1999 before going on to acquire a Ph.D. at Brandeis University. She became a faculty member at the University of Arkansas in 2005. She is currently a visiting fellow at Wolfson College, Cambridge.

Bernhard Jackson's publications include xxxx, and a forthcoming book on the development of Byron's Philosophy of Knowledge.
