Hello, I'm a movie fan who loves action, comedy, sci-fi and crime genres. I like improving the plots of film and movie articles. I study filmmaking in Hertfordshire and do lots of hobby projects. My username is a nickname based from US Marshal Samuel Gerard in The Fugitive.

Updates and life events

[edit]
  • May 2024 - I'm back to editing after finishing up my final year team project at uni.
  • September 2024 - It's that time of the year again, remembering 9/11. I've been watching some classic old movies that feature the intact Twin Towers. Mazes and Monsters turns as my favourite. Fantasy role-playing mystery film that features that BEAUTIFUL lobby!
  • April-May 2025 - I checked out Snow White at my local movie theatre last month. I personally liked it, though in my opinion it fails to meet the astuteness or vibe as the original 1937 classic. Fantasy films are not my usual genre but if it has an action-like theme to it, it sparks my interest. There's also a cumbersome debate on the film's article about whether it is a box office bomb. I personally think it is, and alot of sources state it is. But as the debate continues, I find it surprising that many editors here believe it to be 'successful' (albeit for now) and that 'bombing' only applies to after movie theatures worldwide finally stop showing. What exactly is the magic length of time for a movie to be shown? It depends on its revenue speed. Lets say for example Top Gun: Maverick. It showed in theatres multiple times per day for six months because of its quick success and long-lasting and stable revenue stream. I loved it! In contrast, I've known other films to show for less than three weeks before home DVD release. Now that Snow White has stopped showing in some theatres, and my local one just streams one screening per day (since I saw it on April 16th), and here we are in May. I personally think its time to call it a failure, and it barely has made back its original budget yet alone the additional undisclosed but estimated marketing cost of $70 million.
