Jessica Castellanos began singing at church at the age of four in both English and Spanish and since then has spent her life pursuing her passion of singing and songwriting and has proven with a tremendous amount of success and accomplishment thus far. Her break came when she was signed to Dreamworks records from 1998 to 2004. Jessica was signed as a founding member of the female Pop group “Soluna”, and their debut album “For all Time” was released on May 14, 2002. The title track from their 2002 debut Dreamworks album “For all Time” rose to No.1 in Single Sales and Top 10 in Billboards Top 40 Mainstream chart. “Bring it to me” was another song released as a dance remix and quickly rose to No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Dance Video Chart.

In 2002 Soluna toured as the opening act for Marc Anthony and Enrique Iglesias, and performed at hundreds of live concerts around the country, sharing the stage with artist such as Shakira, Mariah Carey, Destiny’s Child, Stevie Wonder, Backstreet Boys, Celine Dion, Alanis Morrissette, Alicia Keyes, No Doubt, Juanes, Nelly Furtado as well many others. Special appearances at dozens of National and International venues including Madison Square Gardens, Radio City Music Hall and Staple Center (many of them televised) have also increased Jessica’s popularity and love of performing. She has sung the National Anthem at NBA playoff games and with Soluna sang at NASCAR’s Winston Cup—an event seen by over 20 million TV viewers. Other highlights have included performances for many special events: Sir Elton John’s 10th Annual Oscar gala benefiting his AIDS foundation, the NAACP Image Awards, and L.A. and San Diego Gay Pride.

Awards include “Best Dance Remix” for “Bring it to me” remixed by Victor Calderon, and “Best New Pop Artist” in 2003 at Los Heraldos awards in Mexico.

Songwriting is another true passion for Jessica. The album itself featured several songs penned by Jessica: “I’ll be waiting for you” as well as “Spanish Lullaby” and three others co-written with the group. Through the management of Suzanne De Passé, (worked side by side with Berry Gordy/Motown-instrumental in shaping the group “The Jackson Five”.)

Soluna was then signed by UPN to create a TV sitcom loosely based on their lives. With writers who have an impressive array of credits—from Will & Grace to Seinfield and Martin, and with a production team headed by Kelsey Grammar’s production company, Gramnet and Paramount Pictures the series pilot was shot in 2004. The character Jessica portrayed was the show’s highest-rated according to research with numerous test audiences, a testament to Jessica’s talent before the camera and film.

When the series was not picked up the girls amicably decided to part ways and take a break. Jessica decided to travel Europe and met her husband while on holiday in Spain. She now lives in the English countryside where she has two daughters. She still has big dreams and the growing desire to finish what she has started. Currently Jessica is writing and recording songs and seeking a solo record deal, as well as seeking a publishing de
