I joined the Internet in 1991, first via a NSFnet project at UCBerkeley, then via the Whole Earth ‘Lectronic Link, The WELL, where I still reside, all in preparation for a 1-year study in France of their non-Internet Minitel Service. A career in Internet Consulting followed involving a book, some lecturing & teaching, and a Website called FYIFrance, and there a monthly newsletter providing information about non-US / non-English developments in networked communication. Now I mostly manage my own investments in developments since.
