Eurovision in Concert is an annual promotional event held in Amsterdam, Netherlands, ahead of the Eurovision Song Contest. It is organized by Stichting Eurovision in Concert and was first held in 2009. [2] Typically taking place in April, the event serves as a key stop on the Eurovision pre-party circuit, alongside similar events in London, Madrid, and Barcelona.
The concert was first held at Marcanti in Amsterdam in 2009, followed by Lexion in Westzaan in 2010 and Club Air in Amsterdam in 2011, before moving to Melkweg in Amsterdam, which served as the venue from 2012 to 2017. Since 2018, it has been hosted at the larger AFAS Live, which also served as the venue for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2012. [3] The concert was not held in 2020 and 2021 because of the COVID-19 pandemic. [4]
