Last Mountain Distillery is a Canadian microdistillery based in Lumsden, Saskatchewan. Founded in 2010 by Colin and Meredith Schmidt in their two-car garage, it quickly expanded in 2013 when Darryl Babey joined the team.[1] The distillery was the first microdistillery to be licensed in Saskatchewan.[2]
The distillery produces over 20 products, including vodkas, whiskies, gins, rums, and liqueurs. Last Mountain Distillery is credited as the first Canadian producer of dill pickle–flavoured vodka, a unique spirit made using fresh local cucumbers, dill, and garlic. The product launched in 2014 and has since gained national media attention.[3]
As of 2025, Last Mountain Distillery operates out of a 12,000 square foot facility and continues to produce award-winning spirits. Its barrel-aged whisky line is sold under the Baldur’s brand.<ref>{{cite news |title=Local whisky brings home the hardware |url=https://leaderpost.com/news/local-news/last-mountain-first-barrel-gold-medal-local-whisky-brings-home-hardware |website=Regina Leader-Post |date
