James Archer (1550–1620) was an Irish Roman Catholic priest of the Society of Jesus who played a highly controversial role in both the Nine Years War and in the military resistance to both the House of Tudor's religious persecution of the Catholic Church in Ireland and the Elizabethan wars against both Gaelic Ireland and the Irish clans. During the final decade of the reign of Queen Elizabeth I, Archer became a leading figure of hate in the anti-Catholic propaganda of the English government, but his most lasting achievement was his role in the establishment and strengthening of the Irish Colleges in Catholic Europe during the Counter-Reformation. William Dollard (baptised 29 November 1789 – 29 August 1851) was an Irish born Canadian Roman Catholic priest and Bishop of Saint John in America, New Brunswick from 1842 to 1851. William was born in County Kilkenny, Ireland, to Michael Dollard and Anastasia Dunphy. He studied in St Kieran's College, Kilkenny, and completed his theological training in Canada. Katharine O'Mahoney (née Katharine Aloysia O'Keeffe; 1852/1855 – January 2, 1918) was an Irish-born American educator, lecturer, and writer. A teacher of poetry to Robert Frost, she was the author of Famous Irishwomen (1907). O'Mahoney was one of the first Catholic women in New England, if not in the United States, to speak in public from the platform. Among her lectures may be mentioned "A Trip to Ireland" (illustrated); "Religion and Patriotism in English and Irish History" (illustrated); "Mary, Queen of Scots", and "Joan of Arc" (both illustrated); "An Evening with Milton, including recitations from Paradise Lost", illustrated with fifty views from Dore; "An Evening with Dante, including recitations from the Divine Comedy", illustrated by seventy-six views from Dore; and "The Passion Play of Oberammergau". Michael Joseph Drennan (born 2 February 1994) is an Irish former professional footballer who played as a striker.

Drennan represented the Republic of Ireland at youth level and won the Football Association of Ireland's Under-16 International Player of the Year in 2010. Drennan was scouted by then Premier League side Aston Villa and spent five years in their youth and reserve sides where he was loaned out to English Football League sides Carlisle United and Portsmouth.
