MCCARTHY STADIUM IN MAKURDI, BENUE STATE

Following the revolution infrastructural intervention of Governor Hyacinth Iormem Alia. The Governor has approved the renovation of mccarthy football stadium, into an international standard. Ensuring quality materials being in- used in the project site, and to ensure transparency, accountability of the ongoing project of the football stadium. The hard working Governor of Benue state visited the project site, to see how the engineers are working. During the inspection, Governor Alia expressed satisfaction with the progress made so far, noting that the upgrade is part of a broader vision to attract global sporting events, enhance youth engagement in athletics, and boost the state’s reputation as a hub for sports development. Governor Hyacinth Iormem Alia has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to sports development with a comprehensive inspection of the ongoing remodeling of McCarthy Stadium, Makurdi. The project, aimed at transforming the facility into a world-class stadium that meets international standards, reflects the state government’s dedication to creating an enabling environment for sports excellence.
