Omar Rabi; Arabic: عمر رابي; born January 1966 in The City of Nablus, Palestine) was President of General Union of Palestinian Students (GUPS) in United States chapter from 1987-1988. Member of the US preparation team to launch an official UN Monitor presence for the PLO. Rabi was a member of the PLO-US team for per-evaluation on the Madrid Accord in 1991.

Rabi was a member of the PLO US-chapter until May 1993. He lead 9 Publicly-televised Palestine/Israeli debates facing Israeli teams in; the University of New York, San Francisco State University, University of East Lansing- Michigan, Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Chicago and George Washington University.

Rabi has resigned his affiliation with the Palestinian leadership US team in 1993 in protest of the secret Oslo Accord with Israel. Omar never reconciled with the "Fateh" party the largest of the PLO despite several attempts of Palestinian leaders intervention to bring him back on board the team.


Omar Rabi was born on 1 January 1966 in Nablus, then moved with his family at age 7 from Jordan to Lebanon then Kuwait where his father was a diplomat and at counsel capacity to King Hussein of Jordan. He is a member of the Palestinian Rabi family, that hails from Albania or Crete Island. His great grand father fought with Salah-Eddine against the Crusaders in Jerusalem. Then the Great Rabi stayed in Jerusalem, itself a branch of the a large Rabi family also in Jerusalem and also Ramallah. Rabi is one of seven children, but his mother lost many of her small children while struggling to meet up with his father while on the runaway after was sentenced life or to be hanged by the British occupying force back in 1940's. with his brothers and sisters still alive, living outside of Israel or the Palestinian territories. Rabi received a BBA and MBA at the University of North Texas in the United States, and completed his political study with BA in International Relation and conflict studies at AUB in Beirut. He is married and is father of daughter and a son.
