obu Nwaogaraku is located in Obuotu Ezira, in Orumba South Local Government Area of Anambra State, Nigeria.

Obu Nwaogaraku was Discovered in the year 1847, by Izunwanne Ugboaku, a son of Duru Aku. Izuwnanne Ugboaku was a native doctor, he named the compound after his gods, called nwaogaraku.

As time goes on, Izunwanne Ugboaku got two sons, he named the first son after his gods, he named the first son Nwaogaraku and the second son, Ome.

Nwaogaraku got 4 sons, namely Enwere, Okoli, Onyeyuchi and Nwankwo Nwaogaraku, while Ome got two sons, the first son was named Obuduru Ome, while the second son was named Okoroaho Ome.

Obu Nwaogaraku was the first place st. Andrews Anglican church was esterblished in Ezira, before taken down to Amaokoro for more space.

When Christianity was stronger in Obu Nwaogaraku, Izunwanne's descendants decided to change the compound name to human Nwaogaraku and his brother Ome, thats why you hears "obu Nwaogaraku na Ome".

Obu Nwaogaraku is the land of the servants of the living God, Jehovah, land of Prophets, Prophetess, Bishops and Evangelists.

Obu Nwaogaraku is one of the biggest compounds and one of the richest compounds in Ezira.

Obu Nwaogaraku is well known for marrying beautiful ladies, thats why their upsprings are good looking.

Obu Nwaogaraku people are well civilised, well educated and great oversea travelers. They are well rooted in Christianity.

Obu Nwaogaraku is rich in good food, like rice, nshisha, garri, eguisi soup and so on.

Obu Nwaogaraku is land of peaceful people, great hunters, great farmers, professioners and hardworking people.
