[edit]Ever since I started researching my family history, I have made amazing discoveries. Here is a list of some distant famous relatives:
- Christiaan Barnard (1922-2001), South African cardiac surgeon who performed the first heart transplant in 1967.
- Ingrid Jonker (1933-1965), South African poet.
- FW De Klerk (1936-2021), South African politician who served state president of South Africa from 1989-1994.
- John Vorster (1915-1983), South African politician who served as prime minister of South Africa from 1966-1978 and fourth state president from 1978-79.
