Hayley Elise Lukens (born August 27, 2009) is a New Zealand-American singer and songwriter. She is the lead vocalist and primary songwriter of the rock band Paramore, which she co-founded in 2025.
Early life
[edit]Hayley Elise Lukens was born on August 27, 2009 in Auckland, New Zealand, as the first of 4 children. She lived in New Zealand under she was 7, when her parents divorced. She subsequently moved with her mother and lived in Texas, United States for the rest of her childhood.
Lukens is transgender and has said she knew she was around 11-12. She formally went on HRT in 2027 at age 18. Lukens has been very outspoken in her trans identity and the difficulties trans people face.
Lukens has said that she was very depressed as a teen, and had severe Maladaptive daydreaming, and said that it was extremely difficult to overcome.
