Article Evaluation
In the article about "The Storm," by Kate Chopin, I had posted a critique on the talk page regarding the fact that they had referred to Calixta and Alcee's current relationships as being new, and I have to disagree. The fact that they've had children in their current relationships indicates that they're current relationships are in fact long-term.
- I also make a suggestion on the talk page concerning what seems like a "double negative" to me - The sentence structure seems a little "off" to me.
In the article about "To Build a Fire," by Jack London, I had posted a critique on the talk page concerning the use of the 1920 version of his short story, and how I feel that facts from said version shouldn't be used as openly as they are, because it might confuse readers. I agree with those that suggest a separate section for each version of the story.
In the article about "The Tell-Tale Heart," by Edgar Allen Poe, I had posted a critique on the talk page regarding the fact that the "heartbeat" of the old man beneath the floor boards may be confusing to readers if we also refer to his body as the old man's remains.
- I suggest that perhaps the heartbeat is more of a representation of the narrator's guilt, as opposed to something that is literal.
