The Spoke is the student-run humor publication of Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. The Spoke normally has one to two publications a semester, and since the fall semester of 2008, has released The Weekly Flush, a one page flyer posted in public bathrooms across campus every week.

The publications of The Spoke are parodies of either major publications i.e. Rolling Stone and Sports Illustrated, or parodies of other Emory student-run publications.

Origins

The Spoke was started in XXXX beacuse of THESE REASONS. The publication got its name from a play on words from the Emory student-run newspaper, The Emory Wheel.

Rivalries

The Spoke has had a longstanding rivalry with The Emory Wheel.

The Weekly Flush

The Weekly Flush was started in the fall semester of 2008 to give The Spoke a more frequent publication and to increase campus awareness about The Spoke. Publications have included a satire of Wonderful Wednesday, "The Top Ten Reasons You're Not Ready For Election Season to End," and others.
