About

[edit]

I’m Starlcone. I work in science, mostly microbial genetics and computational biology. I edit Wikipedia because accuracy is underrated and clarity is rare. If something’s wrong, I fix it. If it’s vague, I tighten it up. If it’s unsourced, I try to find the original paper or leave a polite trail of breadcrumbs.

I’m not here to win edit wars. I’m here to make things make sense.

Editing Focus

[edit]
  • Bacterial evolution, genetics, and genomics
  • Experimental methods (especially when underexplained)
  • Statistical modeling and simulation
  • Pages that are surprisingly incomplete
  • Typographical entropy

Editing Style

[edit]
  • Precision over flourish
  • Sources over speculation
  • Edits in good faith, with low tolerance for nonsense
