A bit about my background

[edit]

I'm British and live in outer London. I'm retired after a long career with BT under its various names (even the GPO) and started in the Circuit Laboratory in London near St Pauls Cathedral. My time included the early days of computing with its use in exchanges and support systems, and ended working in the Global Division helping foreign partners modelling their businesses in terms of processes and data. I took early retirement to continue freelance and establishing my own company Business Process Design Ltd. and also fought off IR35. A very interesting period, and I finally retire many years ago, but the company name lives on under new ownership.

Hobbies and interest

[edit]

In this new spare time I've done a lot of self-education into evolution and genetics and considering us humans in terms of process and data - after all we spend a lot of time processing data to drive our strange lives. The end goal is including this in a web site.

Other passions (beyond Ballroom and Latin dancing) is the electoral system in UK and privatised water companies' disgraceful behaviour.

Recently joined Wiki Editing to pursue my concern (some may say pedantic) for clear and precise data / term definition.
