About Ty Bat Zan

[edit]

Greetings. I am an independent researcher, historical truth-seeker, and cultural preservationist contributing to areas concerning Indigenous American history, music legacy, and archival restoration. I focus on topics often underrepresented or misattributed in mainstream narratives, with an emphasis on original source verification, music authorship reclamation, and elder justice.

I am actively contributing to the proper recognition and restoration of Seabrun “Candy” Hunter Jr.’s rightful place in music history, especially his work with Little Richard and the 1970s rock revival. I also contribute research around genealogy, cultural identity, and misrepresented legacies of copper-colored American Indians.

My edits aim to:

  • Improve accuracy and sourcing in musical biographies.
  • Elevate overlooked contributions of marginalized artists.
  • Promote historical transparency and correct misclassifications across Indigenous, African-American, and diaspora records.

Editing Interests

[edit]
  • Rock and roll legacy (1950s–1980s)
  • Songwriter attributions and music publishing rights
  • Indigenous American genealogies and cultural records
  • Historical maps and forgotten territories (e.g., Anian, Quivira, Ophir)
  • Elder rights and probate-era documentation

Core Values
